Vegan and Vegetarian Nutrition Is Healthy and Trendy

Deficiency of a protein called RbAp48 in the hippocampus appears to significantly contribute to the memory loss that creeps up on you as you age.
WebMD

I've been a vegetarian for almost 7 years and it's been good for me because now, finally, I feel like I've gained strength.

However, I would like to emphasize from my personal experience and intuition - never neglect proteins, their daily intake, it's very important!

Reawakening of Transparent Alpha Channel in an Image

I was looking at transparent (O)LED desktop screens and I'm thinking how will it reflect in PNG, WEBP formats that support transparent alpha channel. Probably they should be portrayed all the way to go through the screen while browsing the web, for example. I'm sure new, breakthrough technology will bring a new type of GUI that will dazzle us even more.

Selected Anniversaries - Rudolf Diesel's First Working Diesel Engine

People jog, exercise before work then go to work, often driving their cars. I believe it would be much more efficient to leave a car altogether, and live a healthy life, regardless of its status symbol. Statistics say you use the car only 4 percent on average of your time. Believe me, walking should be the transportation of the future

  • 1894 – Rudolf Diesel's first working diesel engine ran for one minute.

A vehicle engine is important and good in some cases because it can provide transfer of people to hospitals and many other places, but it's bad because old-fashioned engines pollute the environment. We could focus on leaving cars ownership and settling in some cozy public transportation or car sharing.

Many say the self-driving car is a utopian desire, but I would like to be an optimist.

In my opinion, car ownership just consumes resources.

True Nature of Sunrise and Sunset From My Viewpoint

Pressure (temperature) equalization during sunrise or sunset is often linked with the mild, but notable wind. For me, a sunset is a special event that should be used by people being indoors, in some peaceful place to meditate preferably with their eyes closed, as I've said before, to build up some energy.

On the other hand, you can always ventilate yourself to freshen up outside, enjoying the environment.

My Opinion About Web3 and Metaverse

In my opinion, at the time being, web3 is just an attempt to utilize Ethereum's Smart Contract API. If everything goes well there will be crypto-tokens instead of logging and passwords to browse user content. Those crypto-tokens costs and I see it as monetization of websites, just like NFTs were for Digital Art.

In hypothetical 'web3' you'll have to spend a lot more money just to browse the web with all those access crypto-tokens. It's pay-per-view.

Benchmarking of web3 would always show significant downside, by several orders of magnitude, compared with the regular server technology. However, such non-common sense could generate more income for fewer working hours at the tiptop of the ⚡ hype expansion.

At the time being, my strong belief is that Metaverse just reflects a real-world scenario, meaning if you are unsuccessful in real-world - your "Avatar" will just reflect that condition no matter of social network brand name, to better support the establishment.

Astrotalk on the Development of the Universe

As I support all life, I support both the "Anthropic principle" and "Cosmological natural selection" as the nature of things.

The anthropic principle is the cosmological principle that theories of the universe are constrained by the necessity to allow human life.
Lexico, an online dictionary website

A little more than 50 years ago, for example, the beneficial effects of microgravity were not known, without which we would not be able to survive in space for a second. There may be other phenomena that favor us like a multitude of water in outer space. That's supportive of the anthropic principle.

On the other hand, I'm very keen on "Cosmological natural selection", also called the "fecund universes".

It's been proposed that when a black hole forms, a white hole forms on the opposite "side". Energy entering exits the white hole.  Physicist Lee Smolin takes it a step further to suggest that the resulting white hole is the Big Bang of a new, baby universe. And, that in fact, our universe formed that way.
PBS Space Time

There are many buzzwords linking the hypothesis, making goosebumps, it must be 🆗  😊

Stephen Hawking's final research paper suggests that our Universe may be one of many similar to our own, the study was submitted just 10 days before Prof Hawking died, BBC reports.

There Is No Planet B, I Reckon

It's a pity how lots of users want to pollute media space to hurt multinationals. We need the spirit of unity, stronger ties, to create something truly gigantic, but flexible. Multinational and multiplanetary.

There is no planet B, I reckon 4 now, we need to make groundbreaking science for fixing the mess on Earth. Sometimes I think we shouldn't listen anymore to engineers and psychocrats because they've brought climate change, but there is no feasible alternative.

We need to make humans multiplanetary, to make real-time TV shows even on another planet. There is no multiplanetary community-building without live TV shows, but that's impossible with present-day technology. Every person should ask oneself how to contribute to getting out of this unfavorable situation, fighting extra survivor. As a deceased genius, Stephen Hawking used to say: "We (humanity) have 100 years left on Earth".

Looking back just half millennia it was 'easy', seeing Earth now carrying so heavy burden would be characterized as a megalomaniacal project. Since we're on this path, if we make one million people per day transport to a designated planet we might loosen up in 20 years, but space companies are behind on their schedule.

One could say we're fighting a war with time and losing. There is no clear solution, a masterplan that would solve accumulated problems, just fractions of a puzzle, so I recommend a uniform leadership together with unity.

Is Blockchain a Supply-chain Disrupter?

The first blockchain was conceptualized by a person (or group of people) known as Satoshi Nakamoto, developed bitcoin, authored the bitcoin white paper, in 2008.
from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Is Bitcoin a prize game, not real money since the existence of Satoshi Nakamoto - the person or persons who developed bitcoin - is formally unknown, but he holds 5 controlling percent of the total number of bitcoins currently in circulation, should it be in the jurisdiction of the gambling commission?

Many people live well to explore what blockchain is all about, is it really a Ponzi scheme, or some other lie? Is it unsustainable and absurd, coattails?

Elon Musk is a great advocator of blockchain. The logical antecedent of Musk overcoming fear is buying, getting to know service/product.

Key events:
  1.  $ 1 billion  investment in OpenAI
  2.  $ 1.5 billion investment in Bitcoin
In the end, they work together as Elon Musk being a winner, the boss.

Nowadays TeslaAIBot Twitter emerges with lots of 'sketches' - stealing attention, entertaining simple people - Twitter is a sandbox for Elon Musk?! His blockchain propaganda is inappropriate when our planet is very polluted by engineering affairs and subsequently costs of living are going up. Much inconsistency and controversy can be found analyzing his public appearance. Blockchain must speed up necessary technical changes in respect to the environment, but I can't see it as a universal basic income (UBI) replacement the way Elon Musk does.

It's no wonder some people believing in globalization fell for it - for the story of mighty digital money that will make the world a better place where no one will be left behind.

Happy World Maths Day!

A Call for Unity
I'm not an expert, unfortunately, and I'm here a bit on shaky ground, but I believe there should be a clearer way of calculating. There are some controversial standards — PEMDAS, BEDMAS, BODMAS, BIDMAS — mnemonics of the order of operations. I can understand countries wanting to have freedom of expression, but maths should be a more exact science. I would say intuitively there can be only one type of this particular mnemonics and it should correlate perfectly with the observations in physics.

Quantum Computing Is Becoming Big - There Are Over 250 Apps Using D-Wave

The D-Wave is the first and only quantum computer built for businesses. User-developed apps on D-Wave systems are quantum chemistry simulation, automotive design, preventative healthcare, logistics, and many other applications. The D-Wave uses a quantum annealing process instead of quantum supremacy (gate model) for computation and has already gained the power of 5000 qubits.

Fragments of Energy - True Fundamental Building Blocks of the Universe?

Lately, a new theory of everything, the ultimate theory that is explaining both macro and the micro-universe has emerged: Fragments of Energy.

The problem
General relativity breaks when it's applied to the micro-scale, and quantum mechanics breaks when it's applied to the macro scale. There is also a problem with wave-particle duality which is very important but confusing.

Introducing "Fragments of Energy"
  • Jeffrey Eischen Professor of Mechanical Engineering, NC State Univ and Larry M. Silverberg North Carolina State University
  • explaining overall physical system using newer mathematical tools
In a way, it reminds me of my phrase "amount of energy" - described in a forum post here.

More on Atmospheric Incubator and Space Elevator

Atmospheric Incubator - it's important that such construction has propulsion - otherwise, it would act as a parachute, slowing down a planet orbiting a star.

Space Elevator - it's important to know that such construction slightly slows down the planet rotation - it pollutes the environment a bit.

Welcome Home NASA Astronauts

Return of the astronauts was something the whole world can 'take pleasure in' as an achievement of humanity. No matter wherever you are on Earth, this is a good thing and I hope it brightens your day

Happy SysAdmin Day!

The operating system (OS) is extremely complex, a good SysAdmin is very important. There are tons of programming languages, but only a few are adequate to program OS. SysAdmin usually monitors data flow in order to discover and fix the malfunction, highly skilled people and constant education is needed to achieve that goal. Good luck!

»Planet Nine« in the Scope of Astronomers

»Planet Nine« is a hypothetical planet in the outer region of the Solar System, it could explain the unusual movements in that area. According to scientists - https://www.space.com/planet-nine-black-hole-test-lsst.html - »Planet Nine« could be a grapefruit-sized black hole.  The hypothetical planet will be heavily studied in Vera C. Rubin Observatory that's being built. Vera C. Rubin Observatory is expected to be operational by the end of the year. I hope we will find answers about unusual movements in the outer region of the Solar System, I have full confidence in the astronomers that they will succeed. I remember the discovery of the Higgs boson, it was really a breakthrough, to confirm the theory - The Standard Model of particle physics. Maybe we can expect similar breakthroughs in the near future regarding our Solar System.
Science is competitive, aggressive, demanding. It is also imaginative, inspiring, uplifting.

The Future of MPEG Standards

MPEG-1, -2, -4, -5, -7, -21, then MPEG-A, -B, -C, -D, -E, -G, -H, -I, -M, -U, -V, furthermore MPEG-CICP, MPEG-DASH, MPEG-IoMT and finally MPEG-MAR. Since much of the possibilities are depleted I would say the future of MPEG is in the Greek alphabet: -α, -β, -γ, -δ, -ε and so on ðŸ˜ƒ

Seriously, MPEG has tons of cool standards to come: High Efficiency Video Coding (MPEG-H Part 2), MPEG-IoMT for Internet of Things, Compression of Neural Networks, MPEG-21 Multimedia Framework.

Read more about "New Protocols, Standards, File Types":
https://www.blogger.luka.jagor.info/2019/02/new-protocols-standards-file-types.html

MPEG Event starts tomorrow – the next big meeting - “MPEG 130 – Alpbach”, 4 days in a row. The Alpbach meeting will not be held physically, but online. Good luck to you all.

Big Artificial Intelligence Enhancement

According to Tesler's Theorem:
AI is whatever hasn't been done yet.
Google has programmed open-source TensorFlow Quantum - bringing together the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing. Xanadu AI now also has the same merge with their own open-source quantum framework.
A quantum computer is a new type of computer that stores and acts on information in its quantum form.
