A space elevator is a proposed type of planet-to-space transportation system. We all need to breathe, but 'the lungs of the Earth' are in flames - Amazon wildfires. Deforestation contributes the climate change. Please make an effort and stop tearing down the Amazon jungle for narrow-minded industrial growth. My thoughts are also with the Hong Kong people in these days of the crisis. Scientist James Lovelock had set up the "Gaia hypothesis" back in 1969. It's "the Earth viewed as a vast self-regulating organism". The hypothesis contributed significantly to our understanding of global warming. I would recommend everyone to read his books about Gaia. James Lovelock is still vital, though at an advanced age.
