Richard C. Friedman, an academic psychiatrist who specializes in the psychodynamics of homosexuality, writes in his essay "Denial in the Development of Homosexual Men" that many gay men have experienced sexual fantasies about women or engaged in sex with women and that many straight men have experienced sexual fantasies about men or engaged in sex with men.
That sounds true, I've heard such awkward "denial" attitudes from religious groups. There's so much more to be said, I'll always propagate an open society deprived of taboos, not to let go of wider acceptance of sexuality and contraception.
