Bearers of Statehood ⎯ Josip Brunšmid, Dragutin Gorjanović-Kramberger, and Franjo Tuđman

Image
ᴵⁿ ᵗᶦᵐᵉˢ ᵒᶠ ᶜˡᶦᵐᵃᵗᵉ ᵉᵐᵉʳᵍᵉⁿᶜʸ https://climateclock.world/ When discussing the bearers of statehood, the focus is often on political leaders and state institutions. However, statehood is not solely a political phenomenon—it is also built through culture, science, and history. In this context, it is interesting to examine three Croatian figures: Josip Brunšmid, Dragutin Gorjanović-Kramberger, and Franjo Tuđman. Although they operated in different periods and fields, each of them left a deep mark in shaping national consciousness and the long-term process of building Croatian statehood. Josip Brunšmid: Guardian of Cultural Heritage Josip Brunšmid (1858–1929) was a prominent archaeologist and numismatist, the first director of the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb. His work in researching and preserving cultural heritage contributed to shaping awareness of the historical and cultural uniqueness of the Croatian territory. The establishment of systematic archaeological protection and docume...

Kitchen or Bathroom - Which Needs to Be Cleaner?

Image
ᴵⁿ ᵗᶦᵐᵉˢ ᵒᶠ ᶜˡᶦᵐᵃᵗᵉ ᵉᵐᵉʳᵍᵉⁿᶜʸ https://climateclock.world/ A clean kitchen is more important when it comes to preventing death. While both spaces can harbor dangerous bacteria, the kitchen is where food is prepared, making it a prime location for foodborne illnesses like salmonella, E. coli, and listeria. These can lead to severe infections, food poisoning, and even death. Cross-contamination, improper food storage, and dirty surfaces can all contribute to dangerous outbreaks. A dirty kitchen is basically a silent assassin—one bad case of food poisoning and it's game over. The bathroom might be gross, but it’s not sneakily trying to take you out with a spoiled sandwich. A dirty bathroom can certainly be a health hazard, especially for infections and mold-related respiratory issues, but it’s less likely to directly cause fatal conditions compared to contaminated food. So, if you had to pick one to keep spotless for survival — go for the kitchen!

A Pedestrian Crossing for the English Channel - A Dream Worth Walking?

Image
ᴵⁿ ᵗᶦᵐᵉˢ ᵒᶠ ᶜˡᶦᵐᵃᵗᵉ ᵉᵐᵉʳᵍᵉⁿᶜʸ https://climateclock.world/ The English Channel (La Manche) has long been a symbol of connection and division between the UK and mainland Europe. While vehicles and trains zip through the undersea Eurotunnel, and ferries glide across the waves, one group remains left out: pedestrians. Illustration   Why Should Pedestrians Have Access? A pedestrian-friendly crossing would be a " game-changer " for adventure seekers, eco-conscious travelers, and long-distance walkers. Imagine the possibility of walking from Dover to Calais , experiencing the open sea, and feeling the transition from British to French culture — all on foot . Designing the Dream Walkway A pedestrian passage could take many forms : A glass-covered bridge like the sleek modern footbridges seen in railway stations, providing wind protection and stunning sea views . A semi-transparent tunnel alongside the Eurotunnel, offering a surreal experience of walking beneath the sea . A hybrid a...

The Future of Cities in a Decentralized and Digital World

Image
ᴵⁿ ᵗᶦᵐᵉˢ ᵒᶠ ᶜˡᶦᵐᵃᵗᵉ ᵉᵐᵉʳᵍᵉⁿᶜʸ https://climateclock.world/ For centuries, cities have been the heart of human civilization—centers of trade, innovation, and culture. But as digitalization and decentralization gain momentum, a fundamental question emerges: Do we still need cities in the future? The Role of Cities Today Cities provide access to jobs, education, healthcare, and entertainment. They are hubs of economic activity, social interaction, and infrastructure. However, many of these functions are now shifting into the digital realm. Remote work, online education, telemedicine, and virtual events reduce the necessity of physical proximity. Decentralization and the Digital Revolution Emerging technologies such as blockchain, IoT, AI, and autonomous systems enable a world where resources and services can be efficiently distributed. This transformation could lead to a society where small, self-sufficient communities replace large metropolitan centers. Key developments include: Remote Wo...

Reviving Amaryllis

Image
ᴵⁿ ᵗᶦᵐᵉˢ ᵒᶠ ᶜˡᶦᵐᵃᵗᵉ ᵉᵐᵉʳᵍᵉⁿᶜʸ https://climateclock.world/ Amaryllis bulb sprouting indoors The photo shows an Amaryllis bulb sprouting fresh green leaves, with its dry outer layers peeling away, placed near a window. The plant appears to be in early growth, reaching towards the light. My Amaryllis looks healthy and is off to a good start! The green leaves indicate it's growing well, and the bulb still appears firm. However, whether it will bloom depends on a few factors: Bulb Size & Strength – If the bulb is large and well-nourished, it has a higher chance of producing a flower stalk. If it’s too small, it may only grow leaves this season. Light Exposure – Keep it in bright, indirect sunlight to encourage blooming. A lack of light may result in only leaves. Watering & Feeding – Water moderately (keeping the soil slightly moist but not soggy) and use a balanced fertilizer to support flowering. Dormancy Cycle – If this is a reused bulb from a past season, it might ne...

RoboMan | The Tin Man | Licitarsko Srce (Licitar Hearts), Auctions, and Bidding

Image
ᴵⁿ ᵗᶦᵐᵉˢ ᵒᶠ ᶜˡᶦᵐᵃᵗᵉ ᵉᵐᵉʳᵍᵉⁿᶜʸ https://climateclock.world/ The Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz is generally not meant to be scary-he's kind, gentle, and even a bit melancholic due to his lack of a heart. However, for very young children, his metallic appearance and stiff movements might seem a little unsettling at first, especially in older film adaptations. But overall, he's more of a lovable character than a frightening one. The Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz had an accident while chopping down a tree. He was originally a human woodcutter, but after a series of unfortunate events involving a wicked witch, he was cursed to become a tin man. His accident occurred when his axe got stuck in a tree, and as he tried to free it, he accidentally chopped off his own leg. Over time, he replaced his body parts with tin, but eventually, his entire body became fully mechanical. This accident led to him losing his heart, which is a central part of his quest in the story. Why Exposing the Truth Matters in a Free Society

Image
ᴵⁿ ᵗᶦᵐᵉˢ ᵒᶠ ᶜˡᶦᵐᵃᵗᵉ ᵉᵐᵉʳᵍᵉⁿᶜʸ https://climateclock.world/ In a free society, uncovering the truth isn't just a nice-to-have-it's the bedrock of liberty. When people know what's really happening, they can make informed decisions: who to vote for, who to hold accountable, or how to live without being pawns in someone else's game. Covering up criminal activity-especially by fellow citizens-doesn't just shield the guilty; it eats away at trust and lets corruption spread unchecked. If the bad stuff stays hidden, it's not only the victims who pay-the whole system starts to crumble because no one knows what's real anymore. Truth is like a disinfectant: it's messy, sometimes stings, but it's the only way to stop the rot. So where do journalists and bloggers fit in? They're the ones with the shovels, digging up what's buried. Journalists, at their best, are watchdogs-chasing facts, verifying them, and laying them out with some discipline (or at least ...
