Ever-changing Atlas of the World

Over 10,000 join rally calling for Moldova to be unified with Romania

More than 10,000 people took to the streets in Moldova on Sunday to call for the country's reunification with Romania. The demonstration highlighted the tensions between pro-Western and Moscow backed factions ahead of elections in November. However, a union between EU member state Romania and its neighbour to the northeast remains unlikely.

Spain Catalonia: Puigdemont's arrest in Germany sparks mass protests

Protests have broken out across Catalonia as former leader Carles Puigdemont spends the night in a German prison. Mr Puigdemont, who is wanted in Spain for sedition and rebellion, was detained by German police acting on a European arrest warrant. Thousands of his supporters have turned out in Barcelona and other nearby cities to protest his arrest.

I oppose continuous printing of atlases, maps, and so on. Please think about the environment before making life-changing steps in a group. It is difficult to replace a country, it's not the same as changing a profile from Facebook to Twitter (or to Google+ for that matter 😃 )

I often wonder: will eliminate the paper (enabling tablets, laptops) in the school skyrocket changes in geography? Think about children in the school, what geography means to them. Organize a new country only if you are absolutely certain you won't fall behind the world!

It would be nice to see some animation of changing atlas, let's say from 80'' till now.

#MyFreedomDay - March 14

Freedom for me is never ever taking it for granted
Christiane Amanpour, journalist and television host

It's nice to lift public awareness about personal freedom and especially against modern-day slavery. Please make proper actions to stop modern-day slavery wherever is happening. All forms of modern-day slavery are, unfortunately, escalating.

I believe freedom of choice, with respect to 'regular' (if it exists) human rights, is the most important component. Man must always afresh fight for freedom as Christiane Amanpour said. Freedom for me is like happiness, let's free the slaves and make some positive vibes globally. Furthermore, I must mention universal basic income (UBI) regarding this particular subject, you can read more about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_income.

Human rights - basic, extended or regular - what do you prefer?

Native culture - updated

Endorsement of the principles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples does not equal implementation, speakers told the UN General Assembly today at a special meeting to celebrate the Declaration's tenth anniversary and renew commitment to its tenets as a vital solution towards attaining a just and sustainable world.

Revolutionised Governmental Models of the Worlds

  •  Transition Model for Countries that Want to be Democracy
Elections are the most important things in democracy, it's nice to give people what they want.
In '99 Months Transition', a bit more than eight years, there would be nine elections.
I offer this model in good faith:

99 Months Transition
  • 3 x 4 months - governmental periods - Stage 1 of the transition
  • 3 x 9 months - governmental periods - Stage 2 of the transition
  • 3 x 20 months - governmental periods - Stage 3 of the transition

My Denial of the Flat Earth Society Idea

Maybe people supporting the 'Flat Earth Society' idea just want a tour of the NASA / ESA / SpaceX facilities and some personal insights like 'One Direction' has had. One should do a reality check of this particular matter:

It looks like a 'magic carpet' from some children's fairy tales, but it has nothing to do with reality. The viral nature of the idea reminds me of the vast spread of Scientology in the 20th century.

I don't share any of those ideas: no 'Flat Earth Society' please, no 'Scientology' please, and no 'Family medicine - Fake religion' please. I don't support pharmaceuticals in psychiatry neither, it is too invasive, but rather Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis and talking. In this busy, alienated world I understand there is no time for people in need and I hope that will change.

Many people are now greedy, some would even rob instead of helping a victim lying on the street. You can read more about the bystander effect here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bystander_effect

112 Year of Knowing Asteroid 589 Croatia

The asteroid was discovered on 3 March 1906, located in the outer regions of the asteroid belt, approximately 88 kilometers in diameter. Named after the independent country of Croatia, then part of Austria-Hungary, discovered by astronomer August Kopff at Heidelberg Observatory. It's so exciting celebrating this amazing anniversary from Zagreb, capital of Croatia, now an EU member. Have a great day!

Graphene – New Wonder Material Based on Nanotechnology

Batteries, Space Elevator, desalination process, CPUs – they could all run on graphene in the near future.

The Graphene Flagship is the EU’s biggest research initiative, with a budget of €1 billion. Good luck!
