5G is Coming to Customers - Update

Wireless can have the same low latency and high reliability as a wireline connection
Durga Malladi - Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
5G technology will revolutionize the industry, but there is a long road to a smart city, or "Internet of Things" reality, in about five years. Also with a help of mixed or augmented reality, you will be able to learn or repair something easier.

Global Warming is Confirmed - Civilization is Collapsing

Difficult times are ahead and there isn't artificial intelligence or a fusion energy reactor that will save the day. There has been so much wrongdoing, so much injustice and I'm afraid there is going to be a lot more. I don't see myself as a lazy person and that's why I hold a responsible "work cult" for most global problems. We got trapped in this "work cult" and there is no easy way out of it.

Many cities will be underwater by 2050. Most of the wildlife will extinct. The temperature will rise 1, 2, 3, 4, or more degrees. There will be shortages of many items, lack of leadership...

In all branches of science people pressurized facts to maximize profit e.g. too many pesticides on crops. There will have to be a lot of brainstorming and deep changes for survival in such awkward circumstances. I hope we'll manage to preserve those fragile human rights we have.

Artificial Intelligence Speeds Up the Artificial Sun Project — AI Software to Find Holy Grail in Fusion Energy

William Tang is a principal research physicist at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (๐–ฃ๐–ฎ๐–ค) Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (๐–ฏ๐–ฏ๐–ฏ๐–ซ), he leads a team of scientists that uses Artificial intelligence to develop clean, virtually limitless fusion energy.

Fusion, which drives the sun and stars, is that generates energy. It is very important to forecast disruptions — the sudden loss of confinement of plasma particles and energy to make commercial fusion energy work.

Disruptions are that can halt fusion reactions and damage the doughnut-shaped tokamaks that house the reactions. Researchers are using Deep Learning techniques for ๐™ฐ๐™ธ to predict disruptions accurately and even preventing disruptions from happening in the first place.
With that level of accuracy and that amount of time, people running the machine would have time to either mitigate the disruption by cooling the plasma or even by finding a way to avoid it entirely

Cutaway diagram of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (๐–จ๐–ณ๐–ค๐–ฑ) the largest tokamak in the world, which began construction in 2013 and is projected to begin operation in 2035. It is intended as a demonstration that a practical fusion reactor is possible, and will produce 500 megawatts of power. The blue human figure at the bottom shows the scale.

Waves of Artificial Intelligence Behavior

In April ๐– ๐–จ news diminished the value of Google's DeepMind - it nearly flunked high school math, but a turnover came recently when scientists build incredibly accurate universe simulations with a help of artificial intelligence. The sweet problem for the scientists is not knowing how such an accurate universe simulation is being rendered, they should check up, and "debug" every pixel it produces.

Overall, it's not so sweet seeing ๐– ๐–จ behaving whimsically, and capriciously - but then again it was anticipated that it's so hard to teach artificial intelligence notions like common sense.
The importance of knowing what goals ๐– ๐–จ should have is imperative, whether they are local (small) or global (cumulative set of local goals). For me, it's frustrating, as an artificial intelligence enthusiast, to see challenges like global hunger, diseases, and the Millennium Prize Problems won't go away just now, but maybe sometime soon.

Cosmopolitan Design Update - What's New

Sometimes I believe in the Gaia - personification of the Earth. Gaia is the ancestral mother of all life: the primal Mother Earth goddess, from Ancient Greek mythology. I believe that Mother Earth is fragile, not rigid, and so is the peace with it.

Recently, we have been witnessing how that fragile peace was disturbed during ๐–ฅ๐–จ๐–ฅ๐–  World Cup 2018. At least two countries have reported earthquakes during the football match: Mexico and Croatia. It was no coincidence. When a football player strikes a goal person tends to stand up, make some noise, applaud, light a firecracker or fireworks, enormous energy is being free up.

It's difficult to advocate some sort of cubical design, especially red-white cubical design. Sometimes they say:
There is a story behind everything
During ๐–ฅ๐–จ๐–ฅ๐–  World Cup 2018 in my country - Croatia, everything was colored in red-white cubical design: the buildings, cars, people... It might be malicious. Gaia remembers.  At the moment I believe that such red-white cubical design encourages aggressiveness, similarly to orange color does. I wouldn't be surprised if in 10-20 years' time there would be more snakes and lizards regardless of climate change factors, just based on such Cosmopolitan red-white cubical design.

Does a Cosmopolitan Attitude Estrange You From Your Local People?

I believe that you shouldn't be estranged from local people with a cosmopolitan attitude. Does it always have to be that way? -No - urban, cosmopolitan thinking is more inclusive, liberal, but it's hard to maintain your viewpoints in these conservative, right-wing times.

There is pressure and stress coming from everywhere pushing you to make an error, be rude, maybe even have a psychotic episode. This highly competitive world where Universal Basic Income is not enabled is sometimes called concrete jungle. I believe we should connect and make the world a better place, regardless of all kinds of differences, and accept our neighbor no matter if he/she is urbane, a peasant, ๐–ซ๐–ฆ๐–ก๐–ณ๐–ฐ, or coming from abroad.
